About ‘Art & Advocacy’:

THIS PROJECT IS SPLIT OVER THREE DAYS.

In this project, student artists are introduced to how graphic designers advocate for change  through graphic design, with a focus on organizations and designers focusing on water-related issues.

Students then choose a topic they care deeply about and design a poster advocating for their chosen cause.

A note that because there is some writing as well as a focus on editing their content (visual and text), this projects is more suited for older kids who can read and write independently. Of course,  you can always work along with your child and support them in that way.

The Doodles Academy curriculum encourages a growth mindset by focusing on process over product: projects are designed to allow students to tell their own stories and individualize art projects. This creates a more engaging and more challenging environment where students learn to solve their own problems rather than copying a model.
